Join a Support Group
Our support groups are at the core of our organization. These groups are free, informal meetings that take place every month or every other month depending on the group. Generally, we try to hold meetings at restaurant spaces so that we can meet over lunch. Meetings are open to all those involved in the transplant process before and after surgery.
At meetings, we provide useful information and discuss topics relevant to our meeting attendees. More importantly, our support groups offer a comfortable space to share your experiences with kidney disease, and hear from others about their experiences. Our support groups foster connections to people in your community going through the same issues and symptoms as you.
Western PA Kidney Support Groups 2020
All of us have been following CDC guidelines and Governor Wolf's mandate to stay safe in the Commonwealth. The Western PA Kidney Support Groups have been keeping to the mandates. Safety to our patients and family members are a priority and we hope everyone is following safety measures put out .
Many patients are in the early stages and also those on dialysis of kidney disease and don't know where they 'fit in' to safety. Know this, you are considered 'high risk'. Please talk to your specialist regarding what measures you should be taking to keep safe.
Our thoughts are with our healthcare members and teams that continue to work during this outbreak. Be safe.
Phone support is always available!
You are welcome to call any support group member listed below or

*Remember we only provide non-medical support through our own experiences*
